Hello, sorry I’ve been away a little while.
Work has been calling and most of my nights are taken up with my stitching. This post will be a very simple but affiliate link heavy post so if that’s not your bag, that’s fine. Thanks for stopping by but ya gal wanted to share some summer must haves and bargains. The weather has been a bit touch and go recently and a little birdy has told me it may be coming home…so I’m taking the opportunity to showcase some of my new fave outfits from New Look while the weather wants to play.
Also as a little side note: I will have had my first Covid vaccination when this post goes out! Yay, one step closer to our new normality. I think it will be a tad weird not wearing masks anymore, I may keep one in my bag just in case.

Perfect for a shift at work or a day drinking session with mates, this outfit is simple yet effective. It’s also a really affordable outfit which you can adapt to the weather too. Jeans and a nice tee is always a winner, pair with a leather jacket for those days where it’s a tad overcast and you’ll look lush, as you always do.
This has been my go-to outfit for work recently as I’m only on fairly short shifts so if I decide to go for some impromptu drinks with the gang after work then I can easily look the part. The shirred top hugs you in all the right places but I do suggest sizing up by one as I have my actual size and I find myself pulling it down a lot during the day as it keeps creeping up! Maybe that’s because I have to stretch up the card wall at work as I’m quite small compared to the rest of my team, ha!
P.S: you may or may not be seeing this photo in a later blog post about my summer make up routine, I’m trying something new for my content!

You may have seen over on my Instagram I hosted a little bee hunt with a mini plant pot painting session at the end. The idea was THAT good I won a competition for my team! We’ve got an extra £30 in our night out fund, whoohoo! It ran over a couple of days and was mainly aimed at children but students came and did most of the painting. It was that popular we think we might do it again towards exam season to help relieve stress.
For the second day, I wanted to wear something a tad more flowy than jeans and tee as it was boiling and sweat patches aren’t a good look, let’s be honest. I found this shirred smock dress last year on New Look when I was searching for some date night looks…oops. I came across this daisy print one but it’s sold out, so I’ve linked an alternative below which is also from New Look.
Pair this outfit with white trainers and a denim / leather jacket and you’ll look super lush!

I thankfully stumbled across this shacket on pay day and thought I would treat myself. I have worked hard for my money after all. I’ve been eyeing a shacket for AGES so I’m glad I finally got one. This one is super cosy and comfy, perfect for a summer evening in the Tipi or eating al fresco with friends. I only got this last week and I’ve worn it everyday – it goes with everything!
I also purchased this broderie top which is perfect for a summer evening, but I would pop a jacket over your shoulders just for precaution. You can never trust British weather! I talked about the dress version of this top and was actually going to buy them both at the same time. I can’t remember why I didn’t. I’ve worn the top more than the dress as I still haven’t had the chance or the guts to wear an all white dress. I’m super clumsy so it probably won’t stay white for long!
Again, white trainers will be your best friend with this outfit!
